Starring names like Helena Ignez, Sandra Corveloni and Tuna Dwek, these are short films that expand the possibilities of what is produced in the interior of São Paulo state, in ambitious productions with unique visuals and that surprisingly blend genres. These are experiments that Lucas and his team have been conducting with the aim of forging a "caipira" cinema (a term referring to the rural, often rural, cinematic traditions) that continues the work of João Paulo Miranda Maria and expands the limits and reach of these stories, which can and should resonate internationally.
Born in the outskirts of the ABC region of São Paulo and now living in the interior of São Paulo state, Lucas possesses a unique experience, which is reflected in his films and throughout his production. Independently, Lucas has sought international sales agents and is dedicated to the internationalization of Fourfé. He is fluent not only in English but also in French, having worked as an editor and translator for the magazine Zanzalá, in addition to having published books and articles in other countries.
In September 2025, he represented Fourfé at the Brasília Film Festival and at FAM, focused on Mercosur productions, where he won an award from Lira Filmes for the project "O Berço" (The Cradle).
*In hs thesis, "The Horrific," Lucas proposes a new methodology for analyzing contemporary films that contain horror elements, such as European art cinema and some of the productions of the American studio A24.
